1. Agreement

By accessing or using SVGEditor (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SVGEditor is a free online SVG editor and live code preview. You can paste SVG markup and see a rendered preview in your browser. The Service may also let you copy share links or embed snippets so others can open the same SVG. Features may change, improve, or be removed over time.

3. License to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or commercial projects, subject to these Terms. The open-source code of the project (if published on GitHub) may be governed by its repository license (for example MIT) in addition to these site Terms.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to SVG markup and related content you enter into the editor. Because processing is designed to run locally in your browser, you are responsible for that content — including that you have the rights to use it and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

If you create a share link or embed snippet, the SVG (or a compressed form of it) is placed in the URL or iframe source you copy. Anyone with that link may view the content. You are responsible for who you share it with and for not including confidential material you do not intend to disclose.

5. Share & embed

Share and embed features are provided for convenience. They do not create a hosted file on our servers. Links may stop working if they become too long, are altered, or if the Service changes. Embedded previews on third-party sites remain subject to those sites’ rules and to these Terms.

Shared and embedded SVGs are user-provided content. We may block executable constructs, but graphics can still be deceptive (for example, fake login or brand screens). Treat share links and embeds as untrusted. Do not enter secrets into anything that appears only in a preview. You are responsible for how you use and redistribute share links.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service or its hosting
• Do not use the Service to distribute malware, phishing, or illegal material
• Do not use share or embed links to spread harmful scripts or other active content intended to compromise viewers
• Do not misrepresent the Service as your own product without permission

7. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Preview output may differ across browsers; always verify critical assets in your production environment. We may strip or block unsafe SVG constructs for security; that is not a guarantee every risk is removed.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVGEditor and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service — including use of share links or embeds you create or receive.

9. Third-party links

Links to GitHub or other external sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
