FAQ

Quick answers

How do I align an SVG to the left?
Click Align left. The tool measures the painted content, then translates it horizontally so the left edge meets the current viewBox min-x. Y does not move.
How is Align to left different from Center SVG Path?
Center shifts X and Y to the middle of the viewBox. Align left only flushes the left edge and leaves vertical position alone.
Is this the same as moving a path to the origin?
No. Move to origin puts the bounding box at (0, 0) and retightens viewBox. Align left keeps the existing viewBox — if it starts at 20, content lines up to 20, not 0.
Does Align to left change preserveAspectRatio?
No. xMinYMid meet would align the SVG inside a CSS box without moving path data. This page rewrites coordinates. Crop SVG if you want the window to follow the art instead.
