Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SVGEditor (“we”, “us”) is a free online SVG preview and code tool at getsvgeditor.com. This policy describes what we collect — and what we don’t — when you use the site.

2. Core principle: in-browser processing

When you paste or edit SVG, rendering and inspection happen on your device. There is no account to create, and we never ask you to upload SVG files to our servers just to preview them.

Optional share and embed links put SVG data in the page URL (for example a hash or query parameter). That payload is still built and read in the browser — it is not uploaded to our backend. Anyone with the link can open it and see the same SVG, so treat those links like the file itself.

3. Information we do not collect

• SVG markup or preview content you enter in the editor
• Account credentials (there are no user accounts)
• Payment details (the tool is free)

We also don’t host shared SVGs as files on our servers. Sharing works by embedding the payload in the link you copy — not by saving it to an account with us.

4. Technical data processed automatically

Like most websites, our hosting or CDN may automatically receive basic request data — IP address, browser type, date and time, and which pages were requested. That data supports security, reliability, and day-to-day operations. It is not used to read your SVG content.

We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic insights (for example which pages are popular and which channels send visitors). Google may process identifiers such as a truncated IP address, device or browser data, and cookies or similar storage, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Analytics does not read the SVG you paste into the editor.

5. Cookies & local storage

The editor may keep short-lived state in your browser (for example undo history while the tab is open). Google Analytics may set cookies or use local storage to measure sessions. We don’t use those mechanisms to sell personal data. Any hosting or CDN security cookies are limited to what the service needs to run.

6. Third-party services

The site may load scripts or assets from third parties, including Google (Analytics / Tag Manager endpoints) and our CDN or hosting provider (for example Cloudflare). Those providers have their own privacy policies. Links to GitHub open on GitHub’s domain and are covered by GitHub’s terms and privacy policy.

7. Children’s privacy

SVGEditor is a general developer and design tool. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live).

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the revised policy.
