1. Agreement

By accessing or using SVGEditor (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

SVGEditor is a free online SVG editor with live code preview. Paste SVG markup and see it render in your browser. You can also copy share links or embed snippets so others can open the same SVG. Features may change, improve, or be removed over time.

3. License to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal or commercial projects, subject to these Terms. If the project’s source is published on GitHub, that repository’s license (for example MIT) also applies to the code — separately from these site Terms.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the SVG and related content you enter in the editor. Because editing runs in your browser, you’re responsible for that content — make sure you have the rights to use it and that it doesn’t break the law or someone else’s rights.

If you create a share link or embed snippet, the SVG (or a compressed form of it) goes into the URL or iframe source you copy. Anyone with that link can view the content. You’re responsible for who you share it with and for not putting confidential material in a link you don’t mean to disclose.

5. Share & embed

Share and embed exist for convenience. They don’t create a hosted file on our servers. Links may stop working if they get too long, get altered, or if the Service changes. Embeds on third-party sites still follow those sites’ rules and these Terms.

Shared and embedded SVGs are user-provided content. We may block executable constructs, but graphics can still mislead (for example fake login or brand screens). Treat share links and embeds as untrusted. Don’t enter secrets into anything that only appears in a preview. You’re responsible for how you use and redistribute share links.

6. Acceptable use

• Don’t try to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service or its hosting
• Don’t use the Service to distribute malware, phishing, or illegal material
• Don’t use share or embed links to spread harmful scripts or other active content meant to compromise viewers
• Don’t present the Service as your own product without permission

7. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Preview output can differ across browsers; always check critical assets in your production environment. We may strip or block unsafe SVG constructs for security — that is not a promise that every risk is gone.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVGEditor and its contributors aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service — including share links or embeds you create or receive.

9. Third-party links

Links to GitHub or other external sites are for convenience. We aren’t responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If you keep using the Service after an update, you accept the new Terms.
