FAQ

Quick answers

How do I convert an SVG polygon to a path?
Click Polygon to path. Each <polygon points="…"> becomes <path d="M … L … Z"> with the same fill and stroke.
How is polygon-to-path different from converting a polyline to a path?
A polyline stays open (no Z). A polygon is a closed ring, so this page writes Z. The two tags are not mixed.
Does polygon-to-path leave the shape open?
No. Z is always written so the last point connects to the first. Close Open SVG Path is for path d that is missing Z.
Are rect and circle converted on this page too?
No. Rect → path and Circle → path are the primitive converters. This page only rewrites <polygon>.
