FAQ

Quick answers

How do I convert an SVG mask to a clipPath?
Click Mask to clipPath. Each <mask> becomes a <clipPath> with the same id; mask= is rewritten to clip-path=url(#id). Black luminance backdrops are skipped.
Why does a soft luminance mask become a hard clip?
clipPath is geometry only — white/black fade and mask-type=luminance do not exist. The visible mask shapes become a binary cut-out.
Is converting a mask the same as deleting the mask?
No. Remove SVG Mask unmasks fully so hidden pixels paint. Convert keeps a silhouette as clipPath when you still need the cut-out, just not luminance.
Does this rewrite an existing clipPath from Intersect Paths?
No. Existing clip-path stays unless that node also had a mask. Only mask= is turned into clip-path.
