FAQ

Quick answers

How do I flatten an SVG clipPath?
Click Flatten clipPath. Each clip-path=url(#id) element is replaced by the clipPath’s shapes, painted with that element’s fill and stroke. The clipPath def is removed when unused.
How is flattening a clipPath different from removing it?
Remove SVG Clip Path unclips — hidden pixels paint in full. Flatten keeps the visible cut by turning the silhouette into real shapes, then drops clip-path.
Is flatten clipPath the same as intersecting two paths?
No. Intersect Paths clips path 1 with path 2 and leaves a clipPath in place. Flatten expands an existing clip into painted geometry; it is not a boolean kernel.
Does flatten convert a mask to a clipPath?
No. Convert SVG Mask to Clip Path is that rewrite. Flatten only expands clip-path; masks stay until you convert or remove them.
