FAQ

Quick answers

How do I split SVG text into glyphs?
Click Split glyphs. Each non-space character becomes its own <text> with the same font and fill, placed at that glyph’s origin.
Does split-into-glyphs convert letters to paths?
No. Convert SVG Text to Path outlines glyphs so the font file is not required. This page keeps real <text> nodes you can still edit.
How is glyph split different from converting tspan to text?
Tspan → text unwraps each <tspan> as one text element (a line or run). Glyph split goes further: one element per character inside that run.
Are spaces turned into glyph elements?
No. Whitespace is skipped; letter x positions already include the advance, so the word spacing stays.
