FAQ

Quick answers

How do I convert SVG textPath to text?
Click textPath to text. Each <textPath> is unwrapped into its parent <text>. x/y become the first glyph’s point on the path so the string stays put; href/startOffset go away.
How is textPath-to-text different from tspan-to-text?
Tspan → text lifts each <tspan> into its own <text> (Illustrator/Figma line runs). This page only removes the path attachment — one text node, no longer following a curve.
Does converting textPath outline the font?
No. Convert SVG Text to Path is the outline pass. This page keeps a live <text> string, just not on a path.
Where does the unwrapped text sit?
At the start of the path (or startOffset, via the first character’s measured origin). Add textPath is the inverse if you want the curve back.
