FAQ

Quick answers

How do I chamfer SVG path corners?
Set Distance and click Chamfer. Closed or open paths made of M/L/H/V get a straight bevel at each sharp joint. Polygon and polyline are converted to path first.
How is chamfer different from rounding path corners?
Round path corners inserts a Q curve (fillet). This page inserts a straight L cut (bevel). Same joints, different geometry — CAD chamfer vs fillet.
Does chamfer set rx/ry on a rect?
No. A <rect> is not rewritten with rx. Convert SVG Rect to Path if you need d, then chamfer that path. This tool only bevels path corners.
What happens to cubic corners when chamfering?
C/Q/A segments stay. Only line-to-line joints chamfer. Curves → lines first if you need those joints turned into L before the bevel.
